WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE BENNETTS TO SELL YOUR HOME?
What do you want when you sell a property?
- Do you want a franchised operation (no previous experience required)?
- Would you prefer the world’s biggest estate agency network (of franchised agents)?
- Are you impressed by The UK’s No.1 property website (but not in Scotland)?
- Are you more impressed by the UK’s most visited estate agency website (but not in Scotland)?
- Would you be persuaded by the estate agent who gives your property the highest valuation to get your business and then proposes a sale for less later?
- Would you like an estate agent that spends the most (of your money) on press advertising?
- What about the biggest estate agent?
- Do you listen to the loudest estate agent?
- How about an estate agent who claims to be professional (but does not belong to a regulated profession)?
BENNETTS offer
- a one-stop service - solicitor and estate agent combined
- plenty of experience
- personal service
- the integrity you expect from a solicitor, whose right to practise as a lawyer depends on the highest standards of professional conduct.
- the biggest property sales web sites in Scotland - the Solicitors’ Property Centres
- the area’s biggest property website. Non-solicitor estate agents can’t offer that spread at the same cost.1
We're small enough to give a service which suits your needs
- We won’t over-value your property to try to get your business.2
- We won’t recommend a quick sale, for example, to generate turnover and get your property off our books. If we think you can get more by extending the marketing period, we’ll tell you, but the final decision will be yours.
- Above all, our aim is to protect your interests.
- Because of information on sales trends through our association with local solicitors’ property network, we can give advice on prices and marketing strategy.
1 A Monopolies & Mergers Commission investigation into Solicitors Property Centres in 1997 concluded a "complex monopoly" did exist, but that this also benefited customers. Solicitors' fees were noticeably lower than those charged by estate agents.
2 ‘…touting - deliberately overvaluing - is a common problem: 'Some agents value high, to win instruction, and then ask you to sign an exclusive contract with a long tie-in period. After a time, the agent will recommend lowering it to the "correct price" but will have already won your business.' (“Which?” reports, BBC Whistleblower etc)
